JSE SHARES

Financials

CML — Coronation Fund Managers Ltd.

One of South Africa's largest independent asset managers.

Speculative SHORT  ·  Entry: R42.16  ·  Stop R43.31  ·  Target R39.82  ·  Reward/Risk ratio = 2:1

The setup: Coronation has printed a double top — Top 1 and Top 2 into the R43 - R44 area, respectively — against a neckline at R42.16, where the latest daily candle is closing. Price has rolled below the 50 SMA, and the 200 SMA is sloping down, so both averages now sit as resistance. The MACD has crossed below its signal line and the histogram has flipped negative, marking momentum turning down.

Basic Materials

GFI — Gold Fields Ltd.

One of the world's largest gold producers, listed on the JSE and NYSE.

Speculative SHORT  ·  Entry: R702.88  ·  Stop R774.83  ·  Target R516.53  ·  Reward/Risk ratio = 2.6:1

The setup: Gold Fields has spent the year inside a descending channel and has just been turned away at the upper boundary, which lines up with the 200 SMA at R702.88. Monday’s candle closed back below the 200 SMA, and the MACD has made a bearish crossunder — momentum swinging lower.

Basic Materials

SOL — Sasol Ltd.

Integrated chemicals and energy producer.

Potential LONG  ·  Entry: R239.92  ·  Stop R224.40  ·  Target R282.10  ·  Reward/Risk ratio = 2.7:1

The setup: Sasol is trending higher inside a well-defined ascending channel and has just pushed to a fresh leg high, after basing on the lower channel line at the July low. The 200 SMA is well below the price and rising, which confirms the uptrend rather than fighting it.

US STOCKS

Industrials

SAIA — Saia, Inc.

US less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier.

Potential LONG  ·  Entry: $351.77 ·  Stop $323.27  ·  Target $422.91  ·  Reward/Risk ratio = 2.5:1

The setup: Saia has been compressing inside a falling wedge and is now pressing against the upper boundary near $351.77. Through the base, the MACD carved higher lows while price made lower lows — a bullish divergence that points to momentum turning up ahead of a breakout. The reward zone extends to $422.91, with risk defined below the wedge at $323.27.

Industrials

WOR — Worthington Enterprises, Inc.

US diversified industrial manufacturer of consumer and building products.

Speculative SHORT  ·  Entry: $54.93 ·  Stop $61.32  ·  Target $42.14  ·  Reward/Risk ratio = 2:1

The setup: Worthington traced a long rising wedge and has now broken down through the lower wedge line, closing on the 200 SMA at $54.93. The MACD has rolled into a bearish crossover, confirming the loss of momentum. A sustained close below the 200 SMA opens the measured move toward $42.14, with risk above the wedge at $61.32.

Communication Services

YELP — Yelp Inc.

US online local-business reviews and advertising platform.

Potential LONG  ·  Entry: $21.86 ·  Stop $20.07  ·  Target $25.64  ·  Reward/Risk ratio = 2.1:1

The setup: Yelp has been grinding lower inside a falling wedge, riding the lower Bollinger Band, and has now turned up off the base with the RSI bouncing out of oversold near 30. Price is reclaiming the middle Bollinger Band as it presses the upper wedge line at $21.86. The reward zone runs to $25.64, with risk defined below the wedge at $20.07. Treat it as speculative until a confirmed close above the wedge line.
